Above, you can see 4 pieces of 5 which made up the talest menhir found in Norther Europe: some 20 metres high!! Imagine the weight? How did they move these stones in the first place... some 6,000 years ago. Maybe there are things we don't know??? |

This dolmen was called "Dolmen des roches plates" for "flat stones"... We didn't go inside as there was too much water on the ground and needed too much bending... at 6pm in the afternoon. The last one of the day! Micheline was very happy... I was floating in some archeological "no-time" space... I guess serene would be the word??? |
