Monday, May 26th, I had to get some decent clothes to get on that Cruise ship... Well, being a vagabond, I travel with the bare essentials... so when I faced the formal evenings attire requirements??? I simply decided to forgo those events and enjoy the rest. But then, maybe it's the only cruise I'll ever take... so it would be a shame I don't enjoy the whole thing, right? Of course right.
Oh well... downtown I went, to the place Micheline and Patricia had already recommended...PKZ Store for Men... Monday morning was EMPTY and a young gentleman walked me to the 1st floor, I told him what I needed, he suggested some gray suit, but I declined, some beige outfit...too neutral...then he came out with this "only one left" linen suit in a light yellow-beige hue... it was instantaneous liking...
Tried the pants... perfect...While I changed back in my street clothes, he had picked shirts and tie for day and evening match...a pair of dress pants washable that I could wear with suit coat... that gave me a second outfit...

5 minutes, 5 minutes to pay, and I was dressed for formal evenings... Captain's dinner etc...
Of course, future photos will give you an idea of the rightness of my choices... helped by the salesman.

Tuesday, my plane at 15:15 to Rome... Got a cheap flight with EasyJet but they don't fly on Wednesday and the flight on May 29th, day of Embarkation, was too late to make the Port... So had to leave Tuesday, May 27th.

Before I left, there were a lot of things I would have liked to finished... but we've been having rain for the last 10 days in Geneva... hard to work in the garden. Did get the lawn mowed... and all the flowers and plants are slow to bloom... Even so, it is still a gorgeous orgy of colors and luxurious vegetation in Micheline's garden.
I didn't want to leave for 2 weeks without getting a few pics of this beauty...

So here is the garden in A SPLENDOR moment...

There's sunflowers and cosmos mixed with pumpkins, snapdragons and narstucium...

The front entrance has never been so flowering... according to Micheline!

The South side of the house...

Gabriel and Simbad

Gabriel with Simbad... The old dog Micheline is keeping for a friend... who seems to like the idea of not taking care of the dog... At 15 yrs old, it is a little demanding, especially at night when he starts barking for the door. Micheline seems happy to have a baby to take care of. Great! Everybody is happy!

And I flew out of Geneva on time... An hour and 20 minutes later I was in Rome... Hard to believe a few hours ago, I was mowing the law in Geneva.
Getting to my hotel was a little longer as I had reserved online... for a good price... but it is quite outside of Rome... in the fields even! Perfect because very quiet... and probably cooler than being downtown Rome with 34 C degrees!
